Who is Eligible
for the UK ETA?

GCC nationals (Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) were already eligible for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) for their UK visits. Beginning November 27, 2024, citizens of 49 additional non-European countries also became eligible for the UK ETA, with applications opening the same day for travel starting on or after January 8, 2025. The scheme was further expanded to include EU citizens, with applications opening on March 5, 2025, for travel from April 2025 onwards.
